Emil Shakov, MD, FACS is a board certified general surgeon in active clinical practice since 2010. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his residency at Seton Hall School of Graduate Medical Education, St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, NJ, with Chief Surgical Resident also from the Seton Hall School of Graduate Medical Education, St Francis Medical Center. He is fellowship trained in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He is currently the practice owner and general surgeon in New Jersey and has also been performing utilization management, peer reviews, IMEs, and expert witness since 2018.
