Dr. Beattie is a board-certified forensic psychiatrist. She completed medical school at Jefferson Medical College and completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. She completed her forensic psychiatry training at Case Western. Following her fellowship, she relocated to NYC and worked for the NYC Family Court, where she specialized in providing guidance to the court for custody of children born to mothers who had previously lost children due to extreme abuse and neglect.
Dr. Beattie has extensive experience in working in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry settings. She is a full-time clinician, largely working in the emergency psychiatry department of a major local hospital. She also teaches medical student and residents.
Dr. Beattie writes comprehensive reports, which often eliminate the need to testify. She is also available for case consultations. Her CV is available upon request.
