Additional Information
I am a Harvard Medical School–trained, board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with extensive experience evaluating functional impairment, disability, and long-term rehabilitation needs following injury or illness. My clinical training included residency within the Harvard PM&R program, with experience at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Following residency, I completed fellowship training in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. I have held academic appointments and leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and NYU Langone Health. My work has focused on rehabilitation and functional outcomes in patients with complex conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurologic disorders, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain syndromes, and the long-term consequences of cancer treatment. I have experience evaluating how illness and injury affect functional capacity, work ability, and independence. I have expertise in evaluating the functional effects of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and cancer-related complications such as neuropathy, lymphedema, fatigue, and chronic pain. This experience allows me to provide analysis of causation, functional impairment, disability, and future medical needs in medically complex cases involving acute injuries and chronic medical conditions. In addition to my clinical and academic work, I serve on the Executive Board of the Moving Through Cancer initiative of the American College of Sports Medicine, an international effort focused on integrating exercise and rehabilitation into cancer care and survivorship. My medico-legal services include independent medical examinations (IMEs), life care planning, medical record review, disability evaluations, causation analysis, and expert testimony in injury and medical cases. I provide evidence-based opinions and explain medical issues clearly for attorneys, courts, and juries.
