Dr. Jesse Hatgis, D.O. is a double board certified osteopathic pain management/ physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. As an interventional pain physician, Dr. Hatgis utilizes a variety of advanced therapies including, but not limited to, spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, kyphoplasty, endoscopic rhizotomy, endoscopic/microdiscectomy, tumor ablation, radiofrequency ablation, interspinous process device placement, facet joint stabilization, sacroiliac joint fusion, minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD procedure), stellate ganglion blocks, nerve blocks, joint injections, and regenerative medicine. Dr. Hatgis has authored and peer-reviewed numerous publications in various medical literature resources, specifically on sacral insufficiency and vertebral compression fractures, vertebral augmentation, original uses of Cortoss cement, Baastrup’s disease, percutaneous cervical discectomies, cauda equina syndrome, and innovative techniques for the usage of intraspinal radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis, facet cysts, and interspinous cysts. He previously served as a principal investigator for a study being conducted by Abbott’s neuromodulation division. Dr. Hatgis also serves as a consultant for multiple medical device companies. Dr. Hatgis has given countless lectures and taught many workshops for medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians. He is a heavily involved member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR), where he previously held the positions of Course Director for the 2017 Mid-Year Meeting and Scientific Seminar and Resident Council President and Vice President. He previously served as a member of the Pain Medicine Committee, Education Committee, and Member Needs Assessment Task Force. Currently, Dr. Hatgis also serves as an oral board examiner for the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR).
