Education: Dr. Heath Gordon obtained his PhD in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University in 2007. He completed his residency and a one-year fellowship in Clinical Geropsychology at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System in Gainesville, Florida. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Gordon has been board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) since 2016. Employment: Dr. Gordon worked within the VA healthcare system for 11 years and in either part-time or full-time independent practice for 14 years before becoming a consulting neuropsychologist of Neurocognitive Specialty Group (NSG), a nationwide network of clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists specializing in forensic and clinical evaluations. NSG has established clinics in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia, and its larger network of providers covers 46 states. Forensic Specialty Areas: Dr. Gordon has considerable experience conducting IMEs related to Personal Injury (85% defense, 15% plaintiff), Defense Base Act (DBA), Return-to-Work, Civil Capacities (i.e., guardianship/conservatorship, testamentary/undue influence), Fitness-for-Duty (i.e., general employment and licensed professionals), and Workers’ Compensation.
